Grab a glass of wine and check out one of the many live musical performances at Deer Lake Winery or Dancing Dragonfly Winery. Also, the Dalles House Restaurant and Lounge has musical performances every Saturday night from country, rock, jazz, and more!

5. Skiing

Skiing, snowboarding, and tubing are some of the most popular activities to do in St. Croix Falls this time of year. Trollhaugen & Wild Mountain are both excellent places to ride the slopes. You can bring your own equipment or easily rent for the day. Both also offer lessons for beginners!

The St. Croix valley is lucky enough to have two National Parks both on the Minnesota and Wisconsin side of the river. We also have the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. These are open year-round for people to hike, snowshoe, or cross country ski. It’s a great way to explore the beautiful scenic river valley! 

7. Cascade Falls

Experience Cascade Falls by traveling a short 15 minutes from St. Croix to Osceola, WI. This breathtaking waterfall is located right off the main street and flows into the St. Croix River. While you are there check out all the wonderful shops and restaurants this town has to offer!

There are two great holiday-themed events coming up this month. Head to 3 Arrows Coffee Company on Saturday, November 6, for gingerbread house decorating for kids. Also, on November 13, Valley Sweets is hosting family cookie decorating. Get your tickets today!

9. Miracle at Big Rock

Taylors Falls Lighting Festival

Every year the Taylors Falls Lighting Festival is a must-see weekend event. The festivities kick off on Friday, November 26 at 6 pm with the grand lighting of main street and a holiday parade. The rest of the weekend includes a craft fair, horse-drawn wagon rides, caroling, and more. This annual local event truly encompasses all the magical themes of Christmas! 

Rivertown Holiday

Rivertown Holiday is another annual event around the holiday times. It is hosted right in the heart of St. Croix at the beautiful scenic overlook. Bring the whole family to enjoy a community dinner, santa, caroling around the fire, a bake sale, and fireworks at dusk. Check here for more updates to come on this year’s event. 

Franconia Frost Fest & Holiday Market

Franconia is an outdoor sculpture park located in Franconia Minnesota. Only 15 minuets from St. Croix Falls! This event is free to the public. Enjoy food trucks, hot beverages, and holiday- themed art activities. Looking for last minuet gifts?
